The story of our family’s involvement with Compassion International dates back to the summer of 1998 when our son Torrey – who was 8 at the time – was moved to act on the poverty of a boy in India. Prathap, the boy, was just like Torrey sharing even his birthday. Our son chose to give from the excess he had to help his new brother, Prathap. Laura and I were hesitant but as soon as we took the leap, the Lord changed our family dramatically.

We now sponsor 5 different children and have had the opportunity to meet 3 of them in person. We’ve seen first hand the difference Compassion makes in lives of children around the world as we have traveled to impoverished countries to see the ministry of Compassion up close and personal.
